In this research we treat deal with the debate on contemporary global inequalities. To address them, I take as reference authors from the social sciences, especially the Swedish sociologist Goran Therborn with his book The Killing Fields of Inequality (2013). In this book, the author deals with the theme from an exhaustive global theoretical-empirical study combined with his civic attitude in defense of a more egalitarian societal life. In this dialogue with the author, I present his theoretical-empirical reconstruction of the concept of (in)equality in its multidimensionality, inspired by Sen's ideals, social medicine and epidemiology. I describe the avoidability of contemporary inequalities and from this perspective, I conclude these notes recognizing the importance of the author's thought in the conceptual understanding of the theme and in his belief in the forces of deconstruction and in the fight against global inequalities.
