His article aims to analyze the spatial strategies used housing companies in the city of Altamira-PA during the construction process of UHE Belo Monte, since these agents were responsible for offering more than 20 thousand urban lots in less than 5 years, coinciding with the rise and peak of activities related to the great project. Based on data obtained from websites, pamphlets and on-site visits to the offices of these companies, as well as cartographic surveys and field research, it was possible to determine the existence of a strategy that used a "real estate window", a specific time lapse to the processes of production and commercialization of the subdivisions, which quickly transforms urban land into merchandise, expands its business and leaves consequences related to indebtedness and the diffuse growth of the city.
