This article has the general objective of reporting experiences in teacher training and the specific objective of presenting some teaching, research and extension projects for the Portuguese Language Language and Codes course at UFMA and reflecting on their integration and inseparability. For such reflections, authors such as: Duarte (2008), Munanga (2010; 2023), Toquetti and Andrade (2023), Saviani (2012) and Vigotski (2001) were used. As a result, we consider that the inseparability between teaching, research and extension must be interconnected and mutually complementary, that is, it must be in constant connection forming an integrated and coherent system. This connection not only benefits students, who receive a complete education, articulating theory and practice, but also society as a whole, which benefits from the knowledge generated and applied by Higher Education Institutions.
